Hi! Welcome to my blog. As you can probably tell, I’m a teacher and a writer, living in Kansas (and, as my Twitter profile says, “dreaming of England and sports cars”). I have six horses and ten cats, all rescues. No sports cars, unfortunately. Not yet.
I’m an adjunct instructor for a handful of schools in south central Kansas, teaching History, Government, Geography, Anthropology, and Creative Writing. History is a passion of mine — not necessarily telling the stories of “great” men and “great” events, but salvaging the small stories that others have forgotten. Mining old newspapers and other sources for ideas that would otherwise be lost.
So. Mild-mannered history instructor by day . . . urban fantasy writer by night. Although I do have this amazing young adult historical that I started last year during NaNoWriMo that I intend to finish during this year’s NaNo, and I’m researching a nonfiction historical. Often, my teaching and my writing merge in this blog, and I will post some “how to” articles that will hopefully be helpful.
And . . . I also love photography, and I have a store on Etsy, CatNipCollectibles. Sometimes I’ll blog about where those adventures have taken me, too.
Thanks for visiting!
Thank you for your visitation. I hope I can learn a lot from you 🙂
I spent the better part of my adult life in Kansas and enjoy visits to family. 🙂
