I think this has been going around the internet for a bit, but I thought I’d share it anyway — JK Rowling’s ‘spreadsheet’ for Order of the Phoenix. It’s similar to what I do with Post-It Notes and a blank bedroom wall, but neater. (And clearly, her cats haven’t been having fun with this, either.)

Thank you so much for sharing this link. I followed it to the other sites and am so glad somebody explained what was going on. I saw the image elsewhere with no explanations. I think i should try this with my own writing. I hate outlines and just have to find the right one.
You’re welcome! I don’t like outlines either; I write first, then figure out where everything goes afterwards. But I enjoy seeing how other authors do it.
